BEAUTIFUL VIOLENCE announces debut LP on Canadian independent record label Ocean Dark

Combining the ambient, cinematic soundscapes of space, the sprawling atmospherics of post-rock with the avant-garde dissonance of No-Wave; Beautiful Violence is Jon McGovern & Simon Dobbs. Originally from the Midlands UK, Beautiful Violence now resides in Vancouver, BC, Canada. 'BV' represents a significant milestone for both Beautiful Violence and Ocean Dark, marking the debut of their inaugural vinyl release. Featuring six mesmerizing originals alongside a remix crafted by label boss ASHE, the album invites listeners on an immersive journey. Each track unfolds across diverse sonic landscapes meticulously shaped by the interplay of Moog hardware intricacies and evocative guitar.

BV is the first studio album by Vancouver's Beautiful Violence, released on 28 June 2024 through Ocean Dark Records. It was mastered by James Bernard at Ambient Mountain House. Written, recorded and mixed by Beautiful Violence.

In 2020 ASHE launched his imprint Ocean Dark, as an outlet for his music. Uninhibited by what would be considered "status quo music", Ocean Dark strives to enable artists that work in unison to push boundaries within the industry and within themselves.
